Boreal Bioproducts (Montinutra Ltd) upcycles forest industries’ woody sides streams to low carbon emission biochemicals for applications in the personal care and chemical industries. The Boreal Bioproducts® portfolio includes polysaccharides, lignins and phenolic extracts.
In EU project LUCRA, MONTI specializes in biomass fractional extraction for sugar recovery from lignocellulosic biomass, facilitating the steps before bio-SA fermentation. Their capabilities extend to exploring the potential for recovering other valuable fractions that can be further valorized. MONTI’s contributions are pivotal in unlocking the full potential of biomass, advancing cellulosic sugars’ recovery, and expanding the project’s possibilities for valorization.
